Time Anyone?

Every night I think I'll take a few minutes to write something down. And then I think of something that needs to be done and I'll write something before I start work in the morning. Then the morning comes and something work-related happens so that I start work earlier than planned or something personal happens in that I start work a little later than planned. Either way - don't have time to blog. I don't feel too bad though. I go to look at my friends' blogs and have noticed that they haven't posted much if anything either. Maybe we will have more time next year.

BEEF TURKEY
The kids had school Christmas parties on the 13th. I had the opportunity to go and read or tell stories to each of their classes. What fun. I decided to go Christmas shopping with them afterwards. Carter was moaning a little and complaining that his stomach was hurting. He said it was because he had eaten so much at the party. I then asked what type of food they had at the party. "Cupcakes, brownies, cookies with icing, chocolate kisses, some type of vegetable and dip, punch, and beef turkey." I asked him what beef turkey was. "You know mom - that steak stuff I like." "Beef Jerky???" I asked. And on went a 20 minute discussion about Beef Turkey vs. Beek Jerky. Later that night we happened to go to Walmart. Where in the checkout lane they had Beef Jerky. I pointed it out to Carter and asked if this was the same. "Yes, yes, yes - Like I said, Beef Turkey." I told him to look at it again and sound it out. "Ooooooooooh - Beef Jerky." Isn't there a saying or something about mom always being right???

Belts and Bibles

Is it because they are boys, because they are young, because they don't care, or just because. Every day after school the boys change their clothes - in which I tell the boys to put their shoes away, take the belts out of the pants, and place the belts on a table in their room. So why every morning are we looking for belts? Logic would dictacte that maybe the belt slipped off the table, or the boy forgot to take it out of his pants, but instead we find it 10 days later in with the dress up clothes. "Oh yeah, I forgot we were using it as a leash on K.C. It's pretty much the same on Sunday mornings with Bibles. We use them throughout the week for Frontline, for school. Then comes Sunday morning and they are no where to be found. Since it's now Tuesday and none of the children's Bibles or belts can be found, I guess it's time to clean out the bedroom.

Happy Stuffed Thanksgiving!

What a day! We had dinner at mom's house in which the whole family was there. Plus my sister-in-law's family came. Sooooooooo much food. We will be eating left-overs for a week.
